Alec John Such is an American musician and actor best known as the former bassist of the rock band Bon Jovi. He was born on November 14, 1951 in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. He attended Sayreville War Memorial High School and graduated in 1969. He began his music career in the early 1970s, playing in various bands in the New Jersey area. In 1983, he joined Bon Jovi and played bass on their first three albums, Bon Jovi (1984), 7800° Fahrenheit (1985), and Slippery When Wet (1986). He left the band in 1994 and was replaced by Hugh McDonald. In addition to his music career, Such has also appeared in several films and television shows, including The Sopranos, Law & Order, and The West Wing.
