He has also directed several short films, including "The Journey" (2008) and "The Choice" (2010). Saira was born in Kano, Nigeria, and attended the University of Jos, where he studied film and television production. After graduating, he worked as a freelance filmmaker and director, before eventually setting up his own production company, Saira Productions. He studied Quranic Science in Aminu Kano College of Islamic And Legal Studies, Kano, Nigeria. Aminu quits his job as a businessman to enter the Kannywood film industry in 2006 with his first movie Musnadi that hits the industry.
