Ann B. Davis was an American actress best known for her role as Alice Nelson in the television sitcom The Brady Bunch. She was born on May 3, 1926 in Schenectady, New York. Davis began her career as a stage actress in the 1950s, appearing in productions of The Solid Gold Cadillac and The Pajama Game. She made her television debut in 1955, appearing in an episode of The Bob Cummings Show. In 1969, Davis was cast as Alice Nelson in The Brady Bunch. She won two Emmy Awards for her performance on the show. Davis also appeared in several films, including The Night They Raided Minsky's (1968), The Strongest Man in the World (1975), and The Private Eyes (1980). Davis retired from acting in the late 1980s. She died on June 1, 2014 at the age of 88. At the time of her death, Davis had an estimated net worth of $3 million.

On a 1973 episode of All Star Baffle, she and her identical twin, wearing roller skates, skated behind a tall cardboard wall. when one skated out the far end and around the front entering the near end, the other waited a few seconds then emerged from the far end. it took the panel a few seconds to realize they were not watching one skater, but the two sisters taking turns.
To many, she is best remembered as a constantly humorous maid, Alice Nelson, on ABC's weekly situation comedy The Brady Bunch (1969).
She was awarded a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at 7048 Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood, California on February 8, 1960.
Her first motion picture role was in Strategic Air Command (1955) with James Stewart, as a waitress who sets a cake in front of Stewart. The scene was later cut out of the film.
She won two Emmy Awards in the 1950s for Love That Bob - Starring Bob Cummings "Grandpa's Christmas Visit" (1955). In syndication it was known as "Love that Bob.".
