Annie Wersching is an American actress best known for her roles as FBI Special Agent Renee Walker on the Fox television series 24 and as vampire hunter Nora Hildegard on The CW television series The Vampire Diaries. Wersching was born in St. Louis, Missouri, and raised in St. Charles, Missouri. She attended St. Charles West High School and graduated from the University of Missouri–St. Louis with a degree in theatre. Wersching began her acting career in the early 2000s, appearing in a number of television shows and films. She had a recurring role on the Fox series 24 as FBI Special Agent Renee Walker, and starred as vampire hunter Nora Hildegard on The CW series The Vampire Diaries. She has also appeared in the films The Day After Tomorrow, Runaway Jury, and The Stepfather. In addition to her acting career, Wersching is also a singer and songwriter. After her two-season stint in 24, Wersching guest starred on various shows, including CSI, NCIS, Rizzoli & Isles, Hawaii Five-0, Body of Proof, Dallas, Revolution, Castle, Blue Bloods, The Vampire Diaries and Touch (which stars her 24 co-star Kiefer Sutherland). In 2014, she was a series regular for the first season of the Amazon Prime crime show Bosch.
