Brad Vering is a 43-year-old American Greco-Roman wrestler. He was born on 21 August, 1977 in Howells, Nebraska, United States. He is a two-time World Champion, four-time U.S. National Champion, and a two-time Pan American Champion. Vering began wrestling at the age of seven and was a three-time state champion in high school. He attended the University of Nebraska, where he was a four-time All-American and two-time Big 12 Conference champion. Vering won his first World Championship in 2003 and his second in 2005. He also won four U.S. National Championships in 2003, 2004, 2005, and 2006. He won two Pan American Championships in 2003 and 2005. Vering has also competed in the Olympics, placing fifth in the 2004 Athens Games and seventh in the 2008 Beijing Games. Vering is currently the head coach of the Nebraska Wrestling Club. He is married to his wife, Sarah, and they have two children.
