Carl Bernstein is an American journalist and author who is best known for his coverage of the Watergate scandal with Bob Woodward. He was born on February 14, 1944 in Washington, D.C. He attended Montgomery Blair High School in Silver Spring, Maryland, and graduated from the University of Maryland in 1965. Bernstein began his career as a reporter for the Washington Star in 1966. He then moved to the Washington Post in 1967, where he worked with Bob Woodward on the Watergate scandal. The two reporters won a Pulitzer Prize for their coverage of the scandal in 1973. In 1976, Bernstein wrote a book about the scandal, All the President's Men, which was later made into a movie starring Robert Redford and Dustin Hoffman. He also wrote a book about the CIA, titled His Holiness: John Paul II and the History of Our Time. Bernstein has also written several other books, including Loyalties: A Son's Memoir, A Woman in Charge: The Life of Hillary Rodham Clinton, and The Final Days. He is currently a political analyst for CNN. As of 2021, Carl Bernstein's net worth is estimated to be roughly $5 million.
