Carmine Appice is an American drummer, songwriter, and record producer who has a net worth of $10 million. He is best known for his work with Vanilla Fudge, Cactus, Rod Stewart, and Ozzy Osbourne. He was born on December 15, 1946 in Brooklyn, New York. Appice began playing drums at the age of nine and was influenced by jazz and big band music. He joined his first band, The Pigeons, at the age of 13. He went on to play with several bands in the 1960s, including The Rascals, The Vagrants, and Vanilla Fudge. He was a founding member of the band Cactus in 1969 and played with them until 1972. In 1972, Appice joined Rod Stewart's band and played on several of his albums, including Every Picture Tells a Story and Never a Dull Moment. He also played on albums by Jeff Beck, Ted Nugent, and Alice Cooper. In the 1980s, he joined Ozzy Osbourne's band and played on several of his albums, including Bark at the Moon and The Ultimate Sin. Appice has released several solo albums, including Rockers and Appice, Carmine Appice's Guitar Zeus, and Guitar Zeus II. He has also written several books, including The Realistic Rock Drum Method and Stick It! The Essential Guide to Playing the Drums. Appice has been inducted into the Modern Drummer Hall of Fame and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He is also a member of the Classic Drummer Hall of Fame.
