Charlie Morgan is a British musician, singer, and songwriter. He was born on 9 August 1955 in London, England. He is best known for his work with the band Level 42, which he joined in 1981. Morgan began his musical career in the late 1970s, playing drums for a number of bands including the jazz-funk group Freeez. He joined Level 42 in 1981, and was a member of the band until they disbanded in 1994. During his time with the band, Morgan wrote and co-wrote several of their hits, including "Something About You", "Lessons in Love", and "Running in the Family". Morgan has also worked as a session musician, playing drums for artists such as Paul McCartney, Elton John, and Phil Collins. He has released several solo albums, including "The Art of Charlie Morgan" (1995) and "The Art of Charlie Morgan Volume 2" (1998). Morgan is currently living in London, and is still active in the music industry. He is currently working on a new solo album, which is due for release in 2021.
