Dullas Alahapperuma is a Sri Lankan journalist and politician. He was born on 14 May 1959 in Sri Lanka. He is the current Minister of Public Administration, Home Affairs, Provincial Councils and Local Government in the Government of Sri Lanka. He is a member of the United National Party and has been a Member of Parliament since 2000. Alahapperuma has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Peradeniya and a Master of Arts degree from the University of Colombo. He has worked as a journalist for several newspapers and magazines, including the Sunday Observer and the Sunday Times. Alahapperuma has held several ministerial portfolios in the Government of Sri Lanka, including Minister of Mass Media and Information, Minister of Power and Energy, Minister of Tourism, and Minister of Public Administration and Home Affairs. He is also a member of the United National Party's Central Working Committee. Alahapperuma is married to Chitra Alahapperuma and has two children. He is 61 years old.
