She began her career in television in 2002, appearing in the series Jeremiah. She then went on to appear in the series Godiva's, Being Erica, and The L.A. Complex. In addition to her acting career, Karpluk has also produced several films, including the short film The Last Day of August and the feature film The Entitled. She has also appeared in several music videos, including "The Scientist" by Coldplay and "The Way I Am" by Ingrid Michaelson. Karpluk is married to actor and producer Michael Seater. They have two children together.
