Etilda Gjonaj is an Albanian politician who currently serves as the Minister of Education, Sports and Youth in the Albanian government. She was born on 6 May 1981 in Albanian. Gjonaj graduated from the University of Tirana with a degree in law in 2004. She then went on to pursue a master's degree in European Studies at the University of Tirana in 2006. Gjonaj began her political career in 2009 when she was elected as a Member of Parliament for the Democratic Party of Albania. She was re-elected in 2013 and 2017. In 2017, she was appointed as the Minister of Education, Sports and Youth in the Albanian government. Gjonaj is married and has two children. She is an active member of the Albanian Women's Forum and the Albanian Women's Network. She is also a member of the European Women's Lobby.
