Timeline
Justin Hopson, Edward Snowden, Deep Throat, and Jeffrey Wigand were featured in the textbook, "Whistle-Blowers: Exposing Crime and Corruption" which was published by Lerner Publishing Group in 2015. Justin Hopson has book signing events and speaks to universities, business conferences, media venues, and corporations nationwide.[1] In 2018, Mr. Hopson, authored the nonfiction book, IF the Fist Lady Hired Me...A Private Eye's Tell-All on Cheating in America. His provocative book takes readers behind the lens of a surveillance camera and untangles the web of deception cast by America's 45th President as well as other real-life cases of infidelity. "Cheating IS the kiss of death to marriage and monogamous relationships," says Hopson, who has investigated over 100 divorce cases. High-profile lawyer, Elizabeth Lee Beck, who deposed Donald Trump in 2011 said Hopson's book was "...my literary entry into the world of private surveillance, divorces, and literally, sex, lies, and videotapes." Most notably, IF the First Lady Hired Me... is the first book ever written to a First Lady of the United States (FLOTUS) and made national headlines in 2018.
In 2020, Justin Hopson enrolled at the Florida State University College of Criminology and Criminal Justice - Master of Science program. "You're never too old to go back to school...still learning as life keeps teaching. I'll not soon forget my first life lesson when I spent the day with a pivotal influence in my life, Frank Serpico. As whistle-blowers, we shared similar stories of attempting to reform our respective police departments and understood one another's parallel hells. That Sunday on August 6, 2006, Serpico and I played pool, explored art galleries, spent hours in conversation, and later visited the home that he built in the Catskill Mountains. I found that Serpico's philosophies of life and law enforcement were all his own, transcending anyone's neat categories, and thus becoming my first life lesson - one's education is never complete. Frank Serpico truly is a renaissance man and friend. As for me, I'll always be an ordinary cop with an extraordinary cause...if my cause to do what's right when no one is watching creates a ripple effect that touches the conscience of my children, community, and fellow cops, then I lived the life that I intended." ~Justin Hopson
