Pat Barrett was an American actor who had a long and successful career in film and television. He was born on September 27, 1887 in Holden, Missouri. He began his career in the early 1910s, appearing in silent films such as The Great Train Robbery (1912) and The Birth of a Nation (1915). He went on to appear in over 200 films, including The Grapes of Wrath (1940), The Ox-Bow Incident (1943), and The Big Sleep (1946). Barrett also had a successful career in television, appearing in shows such as The Twilight Zone, The Rifleman, and The Andy Griffith Show. He was also a regular on the western series The Virginian. Barrett was married twice, first to actress Mary Astor and then to actress Mary Anderson. He had two children, a son and a daughter. Barrett died on April 28, 1968 in Los Angeles, California. He was 80 years old.
