Patricia Birch is an American director, choreographer, and dancer. She is best known for her work on the musical Grease, for which she won a Tony Award for Best Choreography. She has also choreographed and directed the Broadway productions of Hair, The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, and Leader of the Pack. Birch was born in Englewood, New Jersey in 1934. She began her career as a dancer in the 1950s, performing in the chorus of the Broadway musicals The Music Man and Bye Bye Birdie. She then began choreographing for Broadway, and in 1972 she won a Tony Award for her work on Grease. Birch has also directed and choreographed for television, including the musicals The Wiz and Annie. She has also directed the films Grease 2 and The Idolmaker. Birch is currently 87 years old and her net worth is estimated to be around $2 million.
