Bown has appeared in a variety of television shows, including The Bill, Casualty, EastEnders, and Doctors. He is best known for his roles in the BBC sitcoms The Brittas Empire and My Hero. He also appeared in the films The World Is Not Enough and The Mummy Returns. Bown has been married to actress and singer Joanna Monro since 1989. They have two children.
