She was best known for her roles in the films The Producers (1967), The Heartbreak Kid (1972), and The Muppet Movie (1979). Rubinstein began her career in the entertainment industry in the 1950s, appearing in a number of television shows and films. She was a regular on the television series The Phil Silvers Show, and appeared in the films The Producers, The Heartbreak Kid, and The Muppet Movie. Rubinstein was also a writer, having written the screenplay for the film The Producers. She also wrote for the television series The Phil Silvers Show. Rubinstein passed away on April 8, 2021 at the age of 97. She was survived by her husband, two children, and four grandchildren.
