Roseanna McCoy was an American actress and singer who was born on March 21, 1859 in Kentucky. She was the daughter of a wealthy family and was educated in the best schools. She began her career as a singer and dancer in the late 1870s, performing in minstrel shows and vaudeville. She was known for her powerful voice and her ability to move audiences with her performances. In 1883, she married John F. McCoy, a wealthy businessman, and the couple had two children. Roseanna continued to perform in vaudeville and minstrel shows, and in 1895, she made her Broadway debut in the musical comedy "The Little Tycoon". She went on to appear in several other Broadway shows, including "The Red Mill" and "The Wizard of Oz". Roseanna McCoy died on April 15, 1940 in New York City. She was 81 years old. During her career, she was one of the most popular and successful female performers of her time. She was known for her powerful voice and her ability to move audiences with her performances.
