Rudell Bird Weatherwax Jr. (known as Jackie Dell Weatherwax) was born March 4, 1928, in Los Angeles, to Emogene Barton (Weatherwax) and Rudd B. Weatherwax. Emogene Barton (Weatherwax) died on September 7, 1929, at about 11:15 p.m. when she accidentally fell from a roller coaster on the Ocean Park pier, in Santa Monica. Coroner's inquest on Tuesday, September 10, 1929, found that her death was an accident. She was buried September 11, 1929, in Woodlawn Cemetery, in Santa Monica.
