Talia Shire is an American actress, producer, and director. She is best known for her roles as Connie Corleone in The Godfather films and Adrian Balboa in the Rocky films. She has also appeared in films such as The Conversation, The Godfather Part II, Rocky II, and Rocky III. Shire was born on April 25, 1946 in Lake Success, Long Island, New York. She is the daughter of Italia (née Pennino) and arranger/composer Carmine Coppola. She is the sister of director Francis Ford Coppola and actress Talia Shire. Shire began her acting career in the early 1970s, appearing in films such as The Godfather and The Conversation. She received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in The Godfather Part II. Her 1986 BMX film, Rad (1986), received negative reviews while in theaters, but quickly found a following and became a top-ten video rental for two years after the movie's release.
