Tom Tavares-Finson is a Jamaican lawyer and politician. He was born in Kingston, Jamaica, on July 7, 1953. He is the son of former Jamaican Prime Minister Edward Seaga and his wife, Marjorie. Tavares-Finson attended the University of the West Indies, where he obtained a Bachelor of Laws degree in 1976. He was called to the Jamaican Bar in 1977 and was appointed Queen's Counsel in 1989. Tavares-Finson has served as a Member of Parliament for the Jamaica Labour Party since 1989. He has held several ministerial posts, including Minister of Justice, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, and Minister of National Security. Tavares-Finson is married to his wife, Yvonne, and they have two children. As of 2021, Tom Tavares-Finson's net worth is estimated to be around $2 million.
