Tony Vitello is an American baseball coach who currently serves as the head coach of the University of Tennessee Volunteers baseball team. He was born on October 9, 1978 in St. Louis, Missouri. Vitello attended St. Louis University High School, where he was a three-year letterman in baseball. He then attended the University of Missouri, where he was a four-year letterman in baseball and a two-time All-Big 12 selection. Vitello began his coaching career as an assistant coach at the University of Missouri in 2003. He then served as an assistant coach at the University of Arkansas from 2006 to 2011. In 2012, he was named the head coach of the University of Illinois baseball team. He served in that role until 2017, when he was named the head coach of the University of Tennessee baseball team.
